£2900 seems entirely fair for one of these bad boys, just glad I didn't pay £22K for one new.....

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Variable - 31mpg, so ok. Parts expensive, and they WILL go wrong at some point - especially the cooling system due to the whole turbo malarkey putting loads of stress on the engine.

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

When I got it, great, very smooth and quite quiet. After the clutch change, driving round town became a nasty experience due to excessive judder (which the unhelpful garage - not rover - didn't fix, despite returning 3 times telling them otherwise.)

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

200bhp through the front tyres is a lot so wheelspin is never far away, but these are QUICK cars. Saw off a Cooper S from the lights and 135mph no problems, still had lots of pull left. Never did it again though, very naughty.

    Reliability

    3 out of 5 3.0

Apart from the time the radiator top hose went, radiator bottom hose going, core plug failing, CV joint failing, water pump dying, its OK, but given its 125,000Miles, you expect such things. Costly when it goes wrong, so budget for problems.…

I think the 600 is a nice looking motor side on, but grill lets it down a bit. Cliché are Wolf in Sheep's Clothing/Q car are very very apt. Just my kind of car.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Can't complain, nice low sporty seats, not much room in the back but I'm driving so I don't care. Big boot, but not very high. Enough space to "entertain" if needs must.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Never had call to find out, but you get an alarm and an immobiliser.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

OK, no real problems to report, but sat 620Ti to the service staff and they'll always say "Diesel Turbo or Petrol Turbo?". Come on Gents, you work for the company. There's only 1 620Ti, if it was a diesel, I'd say "its a diesel".

Hoses, core plug, but generally ok. Sounds tappety when cold but ok once hot.
