Economy
Value
All that wood, leather and chrome for so little - how can you go wrong?
Costs
Services can get out of hand, especially if you have to replace the disc brakes all round. Also, 2.0 V6 models use petrol at quite a rate.

On the road
Driving
Smooth, silent ride and glides around corners, which is quite surprising for such a big and heavy car. Great for businessmen who travel a lot on motorways, yet can't afford the Jag equivalent.
Performance
The 2.0 V6 lump allows the 75 to accelerate very quickly and pulling away fast is no problem for the heavy car. Not quite the 2.5, but a lot better than the 1.8.

Living with it
Reliability
Never had any serious problems. Once the brake sensor was worn away, but that didn't affect the car at all.
Image
It has an old man's car image to it, due to some of the vintage styling. But it does get looks if you have a nice colour with the alloys.
Comfort
Apart from more expensive cars, this is by far the best for comofort for its price range.

Security and Service
Security
All just standard Rover equipment; nothing too special about it, but it has scored well on security tests in the past few years.
Service
Excellent. Rover seem keen to keep 75 drivers happy with their cars.
