What does this car say about you?

People who own a Rover 75 should be called car lover and knowledgeable people, it takes knowledge and appreciation to own such a car, especially knowing that it has an unjustified bad reputation by people who neglect their Rover 75 and then moan and blame the car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Every one thinks this car is classy, comfortable and beautiful with loads of room. You'd have to be dead to think otherwise.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would definitely buy the same car again but a newer one as they stopped making them 8-9 years ago. what a shame the government didn't do the necessary to save Rover at a time where they made their best cars.

What are you likely to buy next?

I've bought another car, a Vauxhall Astra 1.4, and I'm lucky to have got a good one as I've read that it was plagued with problems. The power weight ration is low so it's easy to push the engine a bit as it feels sluggish and this doesn't help the fuel consumption at all. One word of advice: patience. it's not a sport's car so don't push it and you'll average at least 36 MPG.

It was a really good deal but it's important to know what you are exactly buying so check the common faults.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I've always liked the look and when I had the money to buy one, I did.

What was the dealer like?

The person I bought the car from was honest about the car, he said it was in good condition and after using for a year, I can confirm that the car was in good condition.

What's it like to drive?

This is the best thing about this car, it drives very very well indeed, whether on snow, on wet or dry surfaces, it's very easy to drive and is very precise and most definitely sure planted, I've always felt very safe.

What's it like to park?

Although the wheels don't turn as quickly as on some other cars, it's easy to tell exactly where all 4 wheels are with precision and this makes it easy to park every single time.

Have you had any problems with the car?

The clutch needed replacing after 8 months and I changed the exhaust system after that but the rest was all good.

What's most practical about your car?

This car is very good in all departments and it's very spacious inside, even sitting at the back is a pleasure, unlike the equivalent German models.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

My favourite gadget is the car itself, I rate this car very highly, it's a magnificent car, the best car I've driven.
