Summary
What does this car say about you?
Probs that I would really like a jag but I don't want to spend lots on fuel, tax, servicing and wouldn't buy a diesel xtype because of the poor ford 2.0d or the jag 2.2d's useless gear box.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all said old mans car until they came out in it all said that they loved it after except my mum buts that cuz she couldn't park anything bigger than a smart car. Two of my friends have since swaped a Fabia vrs and vw passat for 75's.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Would in a heartbeat but the last version when rover took all that good bits off the car.
What are you likely to buy next?
A merc c or e class of maybe a BMW 5 series after the 75 a mondeo or insignia just don't offer as much car.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Not really a great deal my 75 had very low mileage and was in a lovely condition the dealer wasn't going to move on the price but did give me £1000 for my 306 which was only worth £750 of anyone's money.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good spec for the price of the car and the looks a very classic British design.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A bit of a boat but once you get used to it and the body roll doesn't scare you you can through it in to corners and it has so much grip it is unbelievable for a car it's size. Handled so much better than my cdti vectra and my dci Laguna 2 more powerfull than both too.
What's it like to park?
Slopping both line makes it a little difficult if your not a good Parker get one with park sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
One problem that has reared it ugly head 3 times and is quite common, the clutch fluid gets to hot and boils a pice of plastic somewhere on the slave cylinder this causes the slave to break first time this also took out the master cylinder at the same time. Best advice when sat in traffic or lights don't sit there with the clutch down this has worked for my ever since the 3rd time it did it. New slave was costing me £300 a time slave and master cost me £800.
What's most practical about your car?
Boot space is a plenty.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Sat nav and heated seats.
