Rover 800 Coupe 827 2d Auto (1995/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
These Honda engine coupe's are cheap and have loads to offer interms of comfort and power, with alloys it looks sweet
Costs
Running a 2.7 V6 isn't cheap and the repair cost are pricey as there aren't many coupe's about

On the road
Driving
It's a motorway dream, cruise control, auto, and leather seats - climate control, very smooth and powerful when you need it - the honda V6 is excellent
Performance
It excellent and the power goes on forever, however it's not really for country roads as its heavy and big so the breaks will wear and your passengers will be on a bumper car ride if you drive fast, but the motorways and smooth roads it's the dogs …

Living with it
Reliability
so far everythings been fine - and mines a 1500000 miler - just make sure you have a specailist maintain it and always buy high quality replacements - tyers, brakes and pads especially
Image
Not great, but then anyone who knows cars will know the power and comfort of this beast, but nice 18"" alloys help lift the profile and the coupe isn't nasty looking compaired to the rest of the 800 series
Comfort
Comfort is second to none, leather, climate control, full electics, programable front seat, the back seats are even better then the front ones - its the most room in a coupe ever!

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks, central locking and an immob, but the fact that you can open the boot from inside the cabin is not good, I prefer the 3 series BMW total deadlock system
Service
I always use independent specialists never the dealerships - they are over priced and most don't know how to service this car properly
