Economy
Value
Criminal amount of car for the money! Nuff said!
Costs
If nothing goes wrong (which it doesn"t very often) then it's not expensive to look after. Good mpg from the 2.0 litre, consumables are reasonably priced, and insurance is low for a big car.

Driving
Not a driver"s car by any means due to poor suspension set-up. How can a car this big have such a badly controlled ride? Flaccid steering, but strong brakes and positive gearshift. Pleasant enough.
Performance
Very quick for what it is. Can leave most cars standing, especially at three figure speeds. Acceleration from 100 mph is very convincing. Torquey, muscular power unit gives power aplenty.

Living with it
Reliability
Very few things have gone wrong. Only needed a new alternator and clutch in its four years with me. Never failed to start - most important of all!
Image
Everything is relative. Objectively it"s outdated and old-fashioned plus quite common, so no-one"s jaws are dropping. However, it commands deep respect when they find out the cost. Subjectively, good.
Comfort
Comfy seats and plenty of space front and rear. Huge boot with practical fastback bodyshell. Pedal alignment is dead on with steering wheel. Foot rest next to clutch is great. Shame about poor ride, though.

Security and Service
Security
NOBODY wants to pinch this car. Could be secured with string and still do the job!
