  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

Large, comfortable car for little money.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Parts aren't the cheapest, but reasonable. Fuel comsumption is excellent on honest models.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Not many cars this size can handle this well. Steering lock isn't great however. If you're looking to U-turn on a postage stamp buy a Micra.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

People seem to think these are fast. They're not, but they're capable in all areas of driving.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Had my model for 5 years with little need for garage time.

    Image

The sports model is slightly more modern and if in good condition looks great. The body styling is hard to beat. It just doesn't look like your standard egg-shaped box of today's car designers.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Plenty of leg/headroom. Recaro seats are comfy, but a little stiff for pampered drivers perhaps? Good standard stereo and speakers is a nice touch also.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Alarm and immobiliser as standard so it's as safe as the next car, I suppose.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Rover were good, but due to other financial concerns they've had since, I reckon they had other things to worry about.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

    None with regular servicing.

    Other

Heard faults about electrics, but not really encountered any myself.

    Ownership

Did you buy the car new?

    Used

Would you buy the same model again?

    Yes

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?

    Yes
