Rover Metro 1.1 C 3d (1992/J) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
You can probably get the newest Metro (95) for about £500 in good nick.
Costs
Just petrol at the moment, but I'm dreading the day when I need to keep paying out!

On the road
Driving
Not too bad, drove a Yaris and Ka they both handle better but that is to be expected.
Performance
Seem alright, not as good as a new car but ok for a first car.

Living with it
Reliability
Seems ok really, probably the best bit about the car, need to use the choke in the morning but still always starts first time.
Image
Not too good, bit of a grandma car, but then if it goes who's bothered about the image!
Comfort
Lacks a bit in this department, seats give you back ache after a few hours and you can feel every bump in the road!
-
Security and Service
Security
Very weak!, get yourself a stoplock and autolock at least to put off a thief!
-
Problems and Ownership

Engine
Quite a nippy beast for a 1.1, does sound a bit whinny at high revs but generally quite punchy!
Other
This is my first car, so it's not excactly a Ferrari but will do for my first car until I get a Toyota MR2!
