Rover Metro 1.1 L 3d (1991/H) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Can be picked up quite cheaply.
Costs
Well I do have to pay for petrol, but that's all :0)

On the road
Driving
Love it! Very much under-rated by inexperienced idiots.
Performance
The only problem this car has is wet roads; at reasonable speed you can get understeer - but in the dry... Wha-HEY! It's superb and handles brilliantly.

Living with it
Reliability
Still runs great and never let me down! But slightly strange noise on acceleration.
Image
Alloys, tinted glass and a whacking great stereo does the trick. Body is a nice shape - it's got a great face. Just needs alloys to finish off Rover's great work.
Comfort
I'm 18 and have the seat right back; I feel the driving position is perfect - quite low down and lots of legroom in front. Front seats on all models are very good - sports-like and supportive.

Security and Service
Security
No standard alarm or immobiliser. Very similar locks to old Austin Metro - one of which I had nicked :0( So if anything valuable is kept inside, an alarm is a must.
Service
Havent needed any! :0)
