Rover Metro 1.4 L Cat 3d Auto (1994/L) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Ideal first cars to buy. Hard to sell on, as there's hundreds about for sale - so worth little.
Costs
Petrol good and insurance low. Lower tax bracket too. What you'd expect for a 1.4i.

On the road
Driving
Nice drive, especially since its an automatic. It's good for just cruising along steadily.
Performance
Not a racing car lets say that. Only 75bhp, so it's hardly likely to overtake BMWs etc.

Living with it
Reliability
Fan was broken on mine and eventually overheated in bank holiday traffic. Cheap repair though.
Image
It's a metro at the end of the day. If you ever pull a bird it won't be because of the car.
Comfort
Pretty comfortable. Rear legroom poor, but hardly any cars have decent rear legroom.

Security and Service
Security
Comes with a standard alarm, but then who wants to steal it.
Service
Never had one done on it. Doubt its expensive though.
