Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
September 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, the owner was selling up and emigrating.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Since getting back into Minis, fancied a Cooper but not one which had been thrashed, hashed or messed with by someone who simply shouldn't have.
What was the dealer like?
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Sharp as it has been well looked after and serviced properly rather than by someone looking at a price menu and walking around it twice before charging £300 for the priviledge of an oil change. There seems to be a bit less room, even with the seats right back, than the other Minis but that is down to the seats being fatter and deeper.
What's it like to park?
It's a Mini, it'll fit where others won't go but the steering can be a bit heavy. You develop a unique driving style in a Mini so you have to be sharp.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Its early yet but its a Mini so they aren't too difficult to put right. This one is the MPi however so hopefully its electronics won't go off.
What's most practical about your car?
Usual Mini things - small, nippy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The general look; Sportspack and full leather interior.
