Summary
What does this car say about you?
I think it sends an image of someone who is a bit different to the BMW/VW driving norm in the young executive market.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My friends and family think it looks very stylish with the saab alloy wheels I added a few months ago. Most people enjoy the ride/comfort inside, but are equally scared when the turbo really kicks in.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would definately buy again because the balance between performance, practicality, reliability, style and affordability puts its rivals into touch.
What are you likely to buy next?
I'd love to get a Vauxhall Monaro, but I'm likely to buy another Saab 9-3 (new shape).

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£2,200
When did you buy the car?
September 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Mine was probably a bit cheeper than it should have been because the dealership specialised in much newer vehicles.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I needed something to eat-up motorway miles with a heavy load, whilst also being something a bit different
What was the dealer like?
Good dealership. I asked for some minor work to be done before I bought, which was, all good.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
On the motorway it is relaxing and economical at a cruise, but can also be responsive when it needs to be. Country roads can be good fun, although there is a little too much body role. Around town it can be a bit difficult to get going, but if you give it some revs it will roast most people off the lights - and also your MPG!
What's it like to park?
Visibility is poor for any reverse parking. Power-steering makes light work of all the wheel turning though.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Some damage due to a particularly nasty bit of road, snapped a drop-link in the suspension and put a hole in my air-conditioning. It is possible to get high-quality repairs done outside of main dealerships, and they will be much cheaper.
What's most practical about your car?
Huge boot space, even with rear-seats up.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
That turbo!
