Saab 9-3 Coupe 2.0T S (185bhp) 3d (2000/V) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
£10.5k for Saab FSH on 30k-miler in imaculate condition - very good used values!
Costs
On a par with VW etc.

On the road
Driving
Its natural home is on motorways/A-roads. Not as easy to drive quickly on B-roads, but it can still be hussled along.
Performance
Easy overtaking and, if you can get the power down (traction control please Saab!), it is fairly fast away from the lights.

Living with it
Reliability
Been reliable so far, but had to get the handbrake slack taken up again (2nd time in 3months). Drive shaft gaiter repaired under warranty by local dealer.
Image
Less ostentacious than the corresponding Merc/BMW alternatives. Looks good with the sports pack.
Comfort
Supremely comfortable. Excellent dash layout and seats are phenominal. You always read this on other Saab reviews, but I could not recomend it highly enough.

Security and Service
Security
No problems so far.
Service
Umm, not as good as I would expect. Very helpful at local dealer (Cheshire Saab) when looking to buy. Had to take the car twice for the one repair when they found that they did not have the part in!
