Saab 9-3 Hatchback 2.0t SE (154bhp) 5d (2001/51) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Bought as import - excellent value. SE has all the goodies too.
Costs
Regulalrly getting 30mpg+. Using my favourite local garage keeps servicing down (a better garage than Saab anyway).

On the road
Driving
Very comfortable and relaxing, has same front seats as big brother 9-5, best seats in the business. Unsettled over mid-corner bumps, though.
Performance
Can't beat it 30-60mph. Nice growl under pressure. All that torque means it still goes when fully loaded, excellent.

Living with it
Reliability
The info display went funny, corrected itself though. Also, got moisture in the electronics, again, dried out by itself.
Image
I really like it, but could do with bigger rims to fill those wheel arches.
Comfort
Did Dordogne last year - no problem in this baby.

Security and Service
Security
No complaints. Alarm and immobiliser standard.
Service
Not used them much.
