Great ergonomics – as we’ve come to expect from Saab. The driver has no problem getting comfy although an adjustable height seat and an adjustable reach steering wheel would help further. The dashboard is also logically laid out.
The anti-whiplash front seats are not just safe, but also very comfortable. Rear legroom is not too bad and overall the interior details and trim make the 9-3 a pleasant place to be, especially when combined with a smooth and shudder free ride. In practical terms there is a usefully huge boot. Not the last word in refinement, but much better than the old 900.
An excellent environment for long-distance driving.
