What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 26 - 45 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Saab servicing and parts are on the high side, although there are plenty of cheaper specialists and there are more General Motors (Vauxhall) parts than before. Fuel consumption never gets higher than 30 mpg, although the impressive diesels do return over 40 mpg.
Three-year warranty from the start meant any teething problems were quickly sorted. Reassuringly well built; robust and reliable so far; should run to very high mileages indeed if properly maintained.
