Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I like my badges, but I want to be different. It also says that I am an absolute tool for not checking that it is in fact an expensive Vauxhall.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it (because they are too polite to say otherwise) - they always worry when it will brake down next.
Would you buy this car again and why?
NEVER, NO WAY, NO SIR, NOT EVER. JUST DON'T DO IT! BUY A VOLKSWAGEN OR SKODA OR BMW ETC - BUT NEVER A SAAB.
What are you likely to buy next?
Skoda Superb or Seat Exeo (had enough BMWs in my time to have gotten the badge thing out of my system).

£16,999

February 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Car was pre-registered and so reduced in sale price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed a larger car for the family.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly enough until they got rid of the Saab franchise and then fired the only saab specialist.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
When its working, quick, responsive and very comfortable.
What's it like to park?
Vision is terrible - parking sensors are a must, which mine doesn't have.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
LOADS - Injector failed + interior trim popping off in 2 places (never goes back into place)+ alternator failed + brakes diminishing at a scary rate + gear knoch drops off + solenoid failed.
What's most practical about your car?
Strong body - ok size for 2 small children, 2 adults and camping gear.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The removable gear knob could be useful in stopping car theives - hang on - silly me; no body would want to steal it anyway! The seats are good though.
