Saab 9-3 Sportwagon (2005 - 2011) 1.9 TTiD (180bhp) Vector Sport 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Bought this at short notice to replace my second Audi A4 both of which proved problematic with numerous design flaws.
OK the cabin materials are not as nice as the Audi and there are some cheap plstics that creak a bit but the cabin does look good and the ergonimocs are much better than the Audi A4.
The seats that gave me back ache in the Audi despite trying every adjustment cannot compare with the Saab seats which are vastly superior.
The ride is supple and the handling is good although a bit understeery if pushing hard. Brakes are amazingly powerful and overall it is good to drive, very relaxing on motorways and good around town too. I've had a lot of comments about how comfortable the ride is.
Overall I wasn't sure what to expect of the Saab as it was bought on a whim. I was concerned the GM parts bin raid would result in a sub standard Vauxhall car but this is not the case. The Saab retains its DNA and is a good quality car with excellent performance, MPG and a great load carrying capacity.
The standard speakers are not great but the satnav and voice control are good and the phone integration is excellent.
Overll very pleasantly suprised and wish I'd never bought any of the Audis I had before which cost me a small fortune to keep running due to numerous problems which have been absent from the Saab.
How reliable do you find the car?
Couple of wear and tear items including new clutch apart from that no issues.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I was expecting the car to be OK but it has so far proved much better than thr Audis I had before. Ride is much better, seats and cabin ergonomics far better and porformance and mpg from the TTId engine is was better than the unreliable Audis.About their car
