Saab 9-3 X (2009-2011) boot space, practicality and safety
The 9-3X is based on the 9-3 saloon which scored very well when it underwent official independent crash tests by Euro NCAP, receiving the maximum five stars for adult safety. Six airbags are standard, as are active front head restraints that reduce the risk of whiplash injuries. All-wheel drive on the petrol version also helps enhance traction on slippery roads.
The 9-3X, based on the 9-3 Sportwagon, isn’t as practical as some estate cars at this price, but offers useful extra versatility over a saloon. It retains exactly the same luggage capacity as the Sportwagon – a minimum of 419 litres up to window height with the rear seats in place, expanding to 1,287 litres to roof height with the rear seats folded.
This is a little less than cars like the Audi A4 Allroad and other similar vehicles.
