It seems to have a quality image. Most thought it more expensive than it actually is.

No. There are far too many issues with reliability and it has depreciated like a stone.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I thought it was a quality product just below German rivals. It was something different with a high level of kit. It seemed very solid and well put together.

What's it like to drive?
Good acceleration and great on the motorway. The car is very comfortable.
What's it like to park?
OK. Obviously it is a big car but there are no particular problems.

Have you had any problems with the car?
So many say Saab is not what it used to be. I cannot comment on what used to be but I have no faith in the current offerings. A list of problems includes faulty sensors and several faults on the alarm system. The Saab dealer claimed that the alarm system could not be bypassed to stop it going off and paying a fortune for new sensors and the horn. Yes it can! Just take the fuse out! Unfortunately it has not been robbed. Sometimes the key is not recognised and the engine will not start. It has been reprogrammed twice and sometimes works fine but at other times it has been half an hour before the car will start. It has had a new wheel bearing, the turbo has blown and the air con seems to have given up the ghost. The aircon before the recent problem had a leak. The engine management light c

Lots of space in the cabin and the boot.

Leather seats are very good and the heated seat is nice in winter.
