Summary
What does this car say about you?
I'm not sure! Possibly that i know a good bargain when I see one. Not as fashionable as BMW / Mercedes / Audi, but having driven many of the models from those manufacturers that's no bad thing.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all like it. All think it was more expensive than it was.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definately, although it would have the 1.9 diesel.
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably a 9-5 estate 1.9 diesel

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£11,500
When did you buy the car?
June 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought from a car supermarket. Excellent trade in for my very high mileage Omega estate. Included extended warranty beyond balance of manufacturers.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed a large diesel estate car with supportive seats
What was the dealer like?
Over all fair, had a slight problem with a warranty repair that happened shortly after purchase due to too many people involved in the communication chain! Received additional fuel bonus plus dog guard to ease my pain!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Easy to drive with enough performance for my driving style. Very flexible engine and good gear ratios make towing our caravan (1500 kgs max) easy.
What's it like to park?
The front of the car is not visible from the drivers seat, so some care is required - the backs is easy to see. Power steering is light at parking speeds and for a front wheel drive car with big wheels the lock is good.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
a coolant hose failed very soon after purchase. Was replaced with a modified part that caused a bit of a delay. Other than that nothing has gone wrong in the first 5000 miles I've had it.
What's most practical about your car?
I can fit in all that I need without worry about space or weight limit.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The distance to empty part of the computer is quite useful, if a bit optimistic at times.
