Saab 9-5 Estate (1999 - 2005) 3.0t V6 Griffin 5d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
Often overlooked in favour of the more common Saab-engined 2.3 four cylinder cars, the Griffin on paper makes an odd choice, It's less powerful than an Aero and thirstier too. And it lacks the badge and distinctive engineering of a BMW. But the petrol 3L 9-5 is ace - smooth, powerful and comfortable in a way that lesser 9-5s don't quite manage. The standard kit is also immense, including heated and cooled seats. It's trick though is durability - because the 3L is so unstressed and was built to a high specification by Saab (much higher than the GM engine it's based on), it goes on forever. The Griffin is a rare but seriously under-rated car. I've had two and they're ultra reliable mile munchers.
