Saab 9-5 Estate (2005 - 2010) 1.9TiD Vector Sport 5d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
This Dame Edna Estate version is my 3rd Saab 9-5 auto. The estate version is roomy, comfortable and drives with aplomb and to my mind look classier & sleeker than saloon. However the build quality on the final face lift version is not to the standard of my previous 2 Saab 9-5 models which were 1999 & 2002 models, especially the interior build, with inferior plastics & leather used. Having said that it drives far better and the 1.9 tid diesel is economical - SID unit showed over 60 mpg on motorway run doing around 50/55mph through roadworks.
This Saab 9-5 diesel has recently had a terraclean and this has lifted the overall performance, smoothness & economy given higher mileage. Replaced the EGR valve due to usual DPF warning light diesel issues and this hopefully cured the problem. Also put full wood dash kit in to lift the interior
To sum up for the money Great Car if has been looked after before with FSH. Try buy one with all the nobs & bells on - ie heated leather front / back, electric seats, reverse park, maybe sunroof, xenon lights, auto mirrors, auto windscreen sense wipers etc;
