Economy
Value
At 5 years old with full service, these cars undercut all rivals for price.
Costs
New poly-vee belt and clearance of breather pipes at 140,000 miles is not unreasonable (costs approx 230).
-
On the road
Driving
Tired suspension at 140,000 miles warrants new shock absorbers, unsurprisingly.
Performance
150bhp is not enough for this heavy car, but can be easily upgraded with Saab approved parts, at a cost.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Astonishingly reassuring.
Image
Good old doctor.
Comfort
320 miles, 4 hours and could have turned around and done it again. This is what the car does best.
