Summary
What does this car say about you?
Understated, thinks carefully about what he drives, thinks golfers are idiots, doesn't want to follow the status quo.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
From the outside they see it as "just another car". Once they get inside it soon puts a smile on their faces.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Without a doubt "YES". The amout of car you get for the money is unbelievable. Saabs tend not to attract the "chav" variety so they tend to be well maintained. Having said that, I don't think I'll be changing for some time.
What are you likely to buy next?
Same again please!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£3,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes - car had 2 owners (one of which was a vicar!!), had only covered 60000 miles, mint condition, all for £3000!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a performance car that was discreet, well engineered, that didn't "follow the crowd". I've always been a fan a Saabs for these reasons.
What was the dealer like?
Knew Saabs inside and out and fixed a problem with the aircon (cracked evaporator - needed replacing) before I collected the car. He was reluctant to knock much money off due to price and condition of car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nothing else like it. In when driven sedately it is quiet, rides smoothly and is very easy to drive - like an executive saloon should. Press the "S" button on the stick and the whole thing comes alive: engine burbles, the car "rears" itself and the acceleration makes your hairs stand on end. BMW drivers shake their heads in disbelief! This is one seriously fast car!
What's it like to park?
Not the best turning circle compared to other cars, however this is a big car. It does have parking sensors, although these only work well on flat ground. Visibility is ok.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing - feels brand new.
What's most practical about your car?
Large boot, excellent seats, plenty of space (but then it is a big car!).
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Too many to list - heated seats (toasty bum in winter!), superb stereo, comprehensive trip computer etc.
