    Value

I paid £20,000 for the car when it was 13 months old, like most cars they are much cheaper now in real terms. My garage man tells me it is now worth only £4,000.

Keep away from main dealers. I use a local garage that specialises in only Saab cars and does a good job at a reasonable cost.

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Nice car to drive on open roads and motorways. It is capable of some very high speeds at which you feel secure. It is easy to do 100mph and not realise it.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

You can not fault it; for such a heavy car it can really move with lots of low revs pulling power.

    Reliability

    2 out of 5 2.0

Within 3 months of buying the car, fuel injection system failed; second one failed, new engine management card fitted. Bad oil leak from timing chain cover, rear shocks fitted and linkage bushes, digits disappear from air con display. Not good so far.

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very nice long distance cruiser with plenty of leg and head room.

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

No one has atempted to break in or steal it, yet sometimes I wish they would.

Dealers are expensive - find an independent specialist.
