Saab 900 Coupe 2.3i S 3d (1997/P) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Not bad value 2nd hand, don't buy new. Local dealership useless.
Costs
Independant Saab specialist not bad, but parts expensive.
-
On the road
Driving
Good in a straight line. Forget tight cornoring. Engine good and smooth power delivery. Feel stable at very high speeds. Steering is dead, gear box notchy and clutch is heavy.
Performance
Handling is terrible. Getting the pwer down can be difficult.

Living with it
Reliability
Clutch went and took flywheel and clutch cable with it, cost £750. No other problems in 12 months. You worry about things going wrong and how much it'll cost.
Image
Individual taste.
Comfort
Great seats for motorway driving. Loads of space, even for rear passengers, but don't drive fast around bends.
