Saab 900 Hatchback 2.0i S 5d (1996/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Not bad - managed to bully dealer into knocking £700 off the asking price.
Costs
Insurance a bit steep due to my age and fuel economy in town isn't brilliant.
-
On the road
Driving
Can be fun, but is just too flaccid for me (but I did upsize from a Mk2 Golf GTi).
Performance
Pretty good, especially in gear acceleration.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Excellent - haven't had anything major happen to it and it doesn't feel like anything is about to go wrong.
Image
Much better than a 3-series! I like the fact it stands out from the crowd.
Comfort
I think the cabin is excellent in layout and comfort; long journeys aren't tiring at all.

Security and Service
Security
No alarm, but an immobiliser - got central locking, but not remote operated.
Service
Dealer is always courteous and quick to deal with any questions or issues I have; this swung my decision to buy this car from my other choices!
