Saab 9000 Hatchback 2.3 Turbo 16 CS 5d Auto (92) (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Loads of car for the money, they do depreciate quite a lot though.
Costs
Very thirsty and if you are unlucky enough to have to replace something, prepare to pay a high price.

On the road
Driving
Smooth and powerful engine make this a comfortable drive.
Performance
Extremely quick acceleration, some turbo lag and the auto occassionally loses power when on steep hills, which forces the auto box to drop a gear which then engages the turbo, which then shoots you over the top of the hill!

Living with it
Reliability
Haven't had much wrong with it yet.
Image
A desired appeal, but will set you apart from the BMWs.
Comfort
Good comfy seats. Not designed for really tall people as the steering wheel only moves in and out at an angle rather than lifting up and down. Couple this with the peddles being very centralised it can hurt the legs.

Security and Service
Security
