Value
Plenty of bargains second hand - a lot of car for very little money.
Costs
If it goes wrong use independant specialists - Saab dealers will cost the earth.

On the road
Driving
A drivers car, smooth and precise handling, slightly firm ride, but excellent legroom and space.
Performance
Normally aspirated cars have adequate power, fuel injected models have plenty of oomph, turbo models offer blistering performance.

Living with it
Reliability
If you look after them they look after you - bullet proof mechanics - but don't scrimp on basic servicing or you will regret it.
Image
The Saab 9000 was a classy motor for its time, nowadays if you drive one of these it shows you are someone who doesn't go with the crowd - its individual, classy and a much better proposition to a Mondeo.
Comfort
Very comfortable, slightly firm ride, but excellent legroom front and rear, nice cabins, great for five adults.
