What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 24 - 44 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Servicing costs similar to a Galaxy, which is similar to a large saloon. Insurance is a reasonable group 11 across the range. Turbo diesel versions are cheap to run, returning a respectable mid-40s mpg, with petrol models no more than 28 mpg. Resale values are firm, and depreciation is gentle.
It shares its structure and build quality with the Galaxy and Sharan as they were all built at the same Portuguese factory. No major faults reported yet.
