No idea and I don't care, we love it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes we have had four of these in varois guises sinc ethe lanuch (N reg) and if they still made them we would have another, still hoping the kids will fly the nest before old age catches up with me or it.

What are you likely to buy next?

Looked at a brand new 'old model' Vauxhall Zafira at the weekend, they are half price at this moment in time, very nice car but too small for 6 adulkts. Hoping to down size when/if the kids fly the nest.

Did you get a good deal and why?

YES at Drive the Deal and we paid around two thirds of list price! We have had 3 cars through DtD and all hassle free purchases from franchised dealers. You need to keep checking the web site for bargains as it changes day by day.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

We had a Ford Galaxy from new for several years and wanted the 'same' car.

What was the dealer like?

What's it like to drive?

It has the 140 PS diesel and goes very well, with revs above 2,000 rpm it will storm up alpine passes, never rneed to change down even when fully loaded on holiday, although at very high altitude it does whezze a bit, lack of oxygen I suspect as it picks up on the way down. On motorways it is a dream, once warm the engine purs along and has excellent accelaration, although first gear is not as brisk as our 1.9 TDI ford galaxy was, however second and third will pull from even very low speeds, just requires a quicker change up from first. After 82,000 mile we still get 40 mpg on a run (French motorways at 80 mph) or 43 mpg plus at 50 to 60mph. As with all VW diesels the oil needs regular checking, but unless you do a lot of hill climbs, ours does not burn much.

What's it like to park?

It is big, parking in supermarkets is fine, it does not fill the space but if the spaces are narrow the electric folding mirros on ours are a useful precaution. Knowing where the front and rear bumpers actually are does take some getting used to, having a golf with theml, if we buy something similar again I would have the parking sensors.

Have you had any problems with the car?

The Auxillary Heater packed up at 75,000, so we had it disconnected as it was hundreds to replace and it makes not a bit of differnce to the way it runs! However, beware; the way these auxillary heaters fail can be a little alarming , if you do not realise what has happened!

What's most practical about your car?

The size, we have four children (now adults!!) and you can to move the 5 rear full size adult seats around or even take them all out and have a 2 seater 'van'.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Trip computer and climatic air con and numerous gauges and electric folding mirrors.
