Summary
What does this car say about you?
Practical but not prepared to join the proper MPV society. Like things a bit more unique and not fooled by the VW badge. Who wants a box on wheels ?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Strangely found a few friends knew all about them. Most impressed so far, or as impressed as they can be by this kind of car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
So far yes whilst family still young - Good all round, pretty good looks, good flexibility and good spec. Would probably choose the 2.0 diesel sports.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not sure yet.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
May 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
It was OK. Could have haggled more but couldn't be bothered on the day. Got the free upgrade to Stylance and a few hundred more but was quoted poor PEx value so pulled out of that.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed something practical with space and flexibility but just couldn't own a proper MPV or a box on wheels.
What was the dealer like?
OK in general. Pretty down to earth but didn't want to negotiate much on delivery date or PEx.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Bit van-esque on pulling away in 1st but then it is a fairly old VAG diesel engine. Pretty good when moving with loads of torque and plenty of MPG. Firm ride but good on corners.
What's it like to park?
OK, parking sensors good for the wife. Hard to estimate front though.

Living with it

Not yet - only had a week
What's most practical about your car?
Good amount of flexible space and got nearly 60 MPG on 60 mile trip
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electric folding mirrors and dual zone climate control.
