SEAT Arona SUV SE Technology Lux 1.6 TDI 115PS 5d Owner Review

The Arona was brought in derv form due to the amazing deals around at the time and that longer journeys I do would mean DPF issues were not a concern. It handles well although extra weight of the derv does mean the front does not change direction as quickly as a petrol Arona. It is a firmer ride but this adds to its more sporty handling. SE Lux spec meant Beat's audio which sounds great ACC, which works well on the motorway, heated seats and KESSY. Arona is well made although feels cheap on the inside due to vast expanse of hard plastic. I added centre armrest myself which should have been standard. Leather steering wheel has a very rough feeling grain which it makes it feel cheaper. Derv engine is not bad, decent punch and economy just not as smooth or as refined as some of the better dervs on the market and of course three cylinder petrol the Arona also comes with. With over 60 mpg now it is run in, economy and usual derv punch makes up for slight lack of refinement. Overall has been 100% reliable with no issues other than seat-belt recall.
