Economy
Value
Brilliant value especially as a first car for younger drivers. Practicality is an issue however as the boot space is on the small size.
Costs
I get about 50-60mpg out of it if I don't put my foot down. Get a diesel if this concerns you. Servicing, insurance, tax and MOT are very cheap and it's a VW so it will run forever, so long as you are not a madman at the wheel.

Driving
Great feel to the car, but the suspension does let it down. Suffers from body roll quite badly but is surprisingly comfortable on long motorway journeys. Quite sluggish to accelerate but rewarding overall.
Performance
OK, it's a 998cc engine, good between 2500-4000rpm but otherwise it is sluggish.

Living with it
Reliability
It's a VW!! All I have changed from new is a set of spark plug leads and the obvious due to servicing bearing in mind it was sitting in the previous owners barn for 6months so its expected.
Image
Looks okay but you can tell its the less fortunate little sister of the Lupo. Not bad but not worth improving unless you get a higher capacity engine.
Comfort
To drive it is very comfortable as mine has the comfort pack (height adjustable seats). I can imagine it can be cramped for rear passengers however.

Security and Service
Security
No alarm, but a manufacturer fitted immobiliser, so nothing fantastic.
Service
Had a diagnostic done with Seat to find out about a reported misfire and they were pleasent but charges were heafty, go to a 3rd party mechanic for repairs/servicing.
