Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I have better things to spend my money on.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My parents and girlfriend like it, my friends take the mickey.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, just for the running costs. I can cover 30000 miles a year doing my job and the superb fuel economy makes perfect sense for this. 70 - 75mpg is possible on long journeys. It hasn't gone wrong yet, and probably won't. Part worn tyres can be had for £15 and are easy to find. My only gripe would be the £215 a year road tax, since this car is over 1.5L and in the old tax bands. This isn't the cars fault however.
What are you likely to buy next?
Hopefully and nice, fast second car for weekends.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£1,500
When did you buy the car?
November 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Downsizing from my BMW to save money. It worked.
What was the dealer like?
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Slow, slow, slow, but my previous car did have nearly four times the power of this. It happily cruises at 70, and actually goes from 50 - 70 quite nicely. Handling is as per the Parkers review - average. Not good, not bad, just OK.
What's it like to park?
Very easy to park anywhere.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
In five months and 12000 nothing has gone wrong.
What's most practical about your car?
It's not very practical, the the doors are tall making getting in very easy. Also the doors and not overly long like some other three door hatches, so opening them in a car park is easy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The factory CD player, there isn't much else.
