SEAT Ateca SUV 1.0 TSI Ecomotive SE 5d Owner Review

Bought the Seat Ateca as I changed jobs and had a commute of 20miles each way. Average 47mpg on A roads if driven carefully. Great handling for an SUV but unfortunately that has resulted in a slightly bumpy ride at times. Comfortable, spacious and practical for a family of four. Engine is quiet most of the time but you can hear the whir of the 3-cylinder engine when you put your foot down. Acceleration is surprisingly good for such a small engine in a car this size. Economy is lower than I'd expected but and nothing like the official figures. The car does lack a little bit of torque in the higher gears meaning you do have to change down more often than you'd like. Features like automatic parking brake and anti collision are great as well as automatic parking. The in car entertainment system is easy to use and the touch screen is pretty responsive. I little bit of a shame that the seats don't fold totally flat to creat a flat loading area but there's still plenty of room. Overall a great SUV, might go for the 1.4/1.5TSI the next time and maybe the SE L spec instead.
