In their own words

I bought my used version based on motoring journalists' reviews. On the whole the car is a nice drive with good handling. However, as with other reviewers I have experienced the stupid automatic braking kicking in when there is absolutely no danger. This can happen on narrow country lanes as well as on some bends on A roads. Aware of this braking anomaly now, but first timey wife nearly hit the windscreen!
On the whole its been reliable apart from needing an oil pump (apparently its made from plastic) when it was out of warranty, yet with a low mileage (probably about 25k) at the time).
Since its the Excellence model there are some very useful extras. The heated seats and reversing camera are very useful. For such compact dimensions it's surprisingly roomy although it was a compromise from our previous 2008 Nissan X Trail dci which was a very roomy estate car (but came with its diesel dpf problems). Few niggles- my wife who is short, finds it difficult to reach rear hatch to close it.
Also had trouble with the batteries in the key fob running flat at very short notice and can leave one stranded! Sat nav is not the most intuitive either and recently I prefer to use the up to date Google maps on my mobile phone.
