Summary
What does this car say about you?
That guy just wants a cheap, no frills runaround.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Just another car parked in the street
Would you buy this car again and why?
No - skittish handling meant that it had to be driven daintily, which is not my driving style.
What are you likely to buy next?
I purchased a Honda Accord 2.0 after this vehicle.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£700
When did you buy the car?
July 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got it for £700 which according to book price was cheap, was £100 less than the garage had offerred my sister as a part exchange but then she did make the money back as she got a discount due to no part ex!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Vehicle had been in the family since new and my sister was selling it to purchase a new car, I needed a cheap car so bought it.
What was the dealer like?
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Lots of bodyroll even at low speeds and took some adapting on bends as I had to take them a lot slower than in my previous car - although that was a BMW! Rear end extremely skittish and it wet weather you had to drive at granny speeds otherwise you would easily lose control and that was even with good tyres!
What's it like to park?
OK, but reversing can be a nightmare due to it having a high rear end therefore restricting visability when carrying out parallel park manouvres etc.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Routine servicing new plugs & leads etc, needed an exhaust heatshield removing due to it rattling and a few other wear and tear items such as CV boots for an MoT, but nothing overly major.
What's most practical about your car?
4 doors and a large boot, just a shame that it did not have central locking and so was a pain to have to open each door individually.
