SEAT Cordoba Saloon 1.6 SE 4d (1997/R) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Fantastic second-hand purchase.
Costs
Average costs for a VW equivalent car. Parts expensive.
-
On the road
Driving
Fairly nimble, with a fair balance between firmness and smoothness.
Performance
Pretty flat really, but will go when pushed.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Irritating recurring clutch cable problem, which can prove costly. Other than that, expect German standard reliability.
Image
Not great. Flat caps and driving gloves should come as standard equipment. Now looking dated, but still better than the Polo.
Comfort
At 6ft tall, I expect a better driving position. Other than that, good for passengers with suprising amount of room for a small car. Massive boot helps out.

Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser and central locking... that's about it.
Service
Decent service with some good advice on niggling problems.
