SEAT Cordoba Saloon 1.6 SE 4d (1997/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
With air con, electric windows and German backing, this car is good value for money.
Costs
Servicing costs aren't too high. Parts can be a little expensive.

On the road
Driving
Very bouncy rear end. Other than that, good for a small car.
Performance
Very flat for a 1.6 litre engine. 75bhp is a little on the weedy side. Go for the 2.0 version if you intend to drive it a lot.

Living with it
Reliability
It's a VW based car, say no more!
Image
Later versions have full colour-coded bumpers and mirrors. Looks rather too much like a Polo...
Comfort
Plenty of room in the cabin. Air con makes the summer comfortable enough. Heaters warm up quickly on cold mornings. Driver's seat a bit on the hard side, though.

Security and Service
Security
No factory security to speak of.
Service
Very good as a whole. Very good no-quibble warranty. I had a few minor niggles with the car after I bought it, but Amethyst Seat were more than happy to rectify these.
