SEAT Cordoba Saloon 2.0 GT 4d (1995/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
VW for Seat money. I bought second hand and high mileage but for 1500 quid and nothing has gone wrong yet. Only problem is bodywork. Shabby rust protection but overall pretty good value.
Costs
Nothing wrong with it as yet. Petrol costs are pretty high but it's a two litre so that's to be expected.

Driving
Could do with being slightly lower on the front but the rear suspension is pretty good and it holds its line very well round corners. Pretty good for a driver I think. Very responsive and gives good feedback to the driver.
Performance
Very good for a insurance group 11 car! 0-60 in just under 10 seconds and apparently a top speed of 125... very good.

Living with it
Reliability
Again VW reliability for Seat price. Very good. Never been let down by it yet.
Image
Very rare I think. Since having it (1 year and about 3 months), I can count how many I've seen on my hands. Looks very sporty but is still practical. Spoiler looks cool and quite easily modifiable.
Comfort
Sports seats all round and very adjustable. Engine noise can sometimes get on your nerves though.

Security and Service
Security
No alarm, but does have central locking and immobiliser.
Service
Never tried therefore neutral on service.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Breathers blocked when purchased, cost 40 quid. Petrol leak from the fuel hose. Cost of repair 2 pounds. Did it myself. For a car with 130,000 miles on it, this is a very good record. Engine is very easy to work on... loads of space.
Other
Interior isn't as well built as VW. Some rattles.
