Economy
Value
Bought aged 3 years at auction (£3k). Good value for 6 years relatively problem-free motoring.
Costs
Cheap to insure and run.
-
On the road
Driving
Plenty of body roll and not much oomph. Surprisingly quite good at motorway speeds - can keep up with traffic.
Performance
Slow off the mark. No real kick in 3rd or 4th gear - overtaking therefore quite hazardous.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Very reliable little car, particularly for its age.
Image
Aged quite well, probably because the Ibiza's shape has changed very little over the years.
Comfort
Seats comfortable enough for short/medium journeys.
-
Security and Service
Security
No alarm or central locking.
Service
Local SEAT garage expensive, so have used good independent.
