SEAT Ibiza 1.4 Salsa 3d (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
More or less the same kit as the Polo for a couple of grand less.
Costs
Fuel economy has never been more than adequate. Repairs economic, but I have had to seek them all too often.

On the road
Driving
The power steering is nice (not too light). Rear view could be better.
Performance
Not the fastest car, but responsive engine and firm suspension make it feel fun.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Too many minor faults, but hasn't actually failed completely in 45,000 miles.
Image
Nice bright colours. Overall shape/trim do it a good turn. Interior trim wear varies.
Comfort
Not bad - wish steering column adjusted for depth as well as height. Needs better interior storage in cabin.

Security and Service
Security
Suspect mine was broken into under previous ownership, but nothing with me.
Service
Dealers have been pretty good. Experience of non-dealers (i.e. VW specialists who should be able to handle a VW derivative) not good at all.
