Economy
Value
Poor depreciation, but in terms of value to buy this would be well up there.
Costs
No major problems. The worst cost was the 60k service when the cambelt needed to be replaced.

On the road
Driving
Enjoyable fun car to drive. Not revvy due to the 8v engine, but quick with lots of torque.
Performance
For what it is (a 1980s engine) the car goes really well. Superb handdling lets you know exactly where the edge is. Keep to the OE Michelins which are superb.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems other than the sunroof mechanism which must be made of chocolate for all the use it's been. Replaced once under warranty and now I just can't be bothered. I've done nothing but keep it serviced and it sounds very sweet.
Image
Ok I guess. Showing its age now.
Comfort
For shorter journeys it's fine, but for longer ones I end up with a sore neck due to incredibly badly designed headrests. The seats are also sports seats so they could be comfier. Quite a lot of cabin noise at speed but I've been in noisier.

Security and Service
Security
Comes with an immobiliser. I hate alarms so that suits me.
Service
The dealers have varied with some better than others. I certainly wouldn't use the Reading (Emmer Green) garage again. The Camberley one has been very good.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
None. Faultless.
Other
Sunroof mechanism as mentioned. New exhaust end can at 80,000 miles. Had to get a genuine one as the replacement cans don't fit which was irritating.
