SEAT Ibiza 1.9TDi FR 3d (2004/54) Owner Review

-
Economy
Value
Excellent. Fiesta ST is same price, and faster... But the Seat is worth more later on in life.
Costs
Extras such as cruise control are costly.
-
On the road
Driving
Front end tends to drift away from you when cornering at speed.
Performance
A performance Diesel is born, pins you to the seat when you burry the right pedal.
-
Living with it
Reliability
No problems so far.
Image
It looks like a regular Ibiza, just with bigger alloys and one dam cute exhaust.
Comfort
Stiff, sporty suspension does it's best. Feels un-settled on all but the smoothest of roads, by giving the driver a rather unforgiving drive.

Security and Service
Security
Thatcham Cat 1 alarm is a nice touch. Locking wheel bolts the alloy's are an optional extra however.
Service
Local dealer is ok, if only a bit disorganised.

Problems and Ownership

Other
Car has a possible tracking problem. It always wants to pull to the left. It gets fixed, and is ok for a few weeks, then it slowly creeps back. I can live with it, so I'm not too fussed.
