SEAT Ibiza Hatchback (2008 - 2017) 1.2 TSI (90bhp) SE Technology 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I decided to treat myself to my first brand new car and went for the SEAT because out of the VW group manufacturers, SEAT had the best offers on at the time - Within a week of enquiring, I was driving it home!
I used to have a 2003 TDI Golf Estate, so the hauntingly quiet petrol engine has taken some getting used to but is absolute bliss when you just want a smooth, quiet journey. The steering is feather light around town at low speeds but weights up and feels firm and precise as you gain speed. The seats are bliss and help soak up the bumps from the perhaps slightly firmer ride, while supporting in all the right places. Even the 1.2 TSI engine pulls perfectly well, with smooth power delivery through the rev range with gearing generously spaced to give a quiet and comfortable ride while still offering pulling power should you need it.
The back seats are a bit tight for taller passengers on a longer journey, the boot is surprisingly cavernous for such a small car and if you pick your colours, options, accessories, etc carefully you can end up with a real head turner that's sure to hold its value a lot better than you might expect.
How reliable do you find the car?
Too soon to tell, though a friend has the I-Tech (essentially the same) with no issues on 38KDoes the car do everything you expected it to do?
A lot faster with more grunt than I was expecting! However the power is delivered smoothly throughout the revsAbout their car
