Summary
What does this car say about you?
You wanted a golf tdi but could not afford it.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all like the looks of it. Whilst not the most practical it will take 4 in reasonable comfort though would not want to be in the back for long distances. They are all surprised at the way it shifts.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I personally would not buy the same car again, only because of the size. I would not hesitate in recommending to someone looking for a small nippy economical car. It does well all its supposed to .
What are you likely to buy next?
Undecided, could be anything. Golf GTI would be nice.

Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,995
When did you buy the car?
January 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a good trade in price on my own car and dealer reluctantly agreed to replace 2 tyres, all pads and front discs before i bought it. Also got a full tank of petrol. As second hand, mats and flaps were also fitted on the car.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Fuel economy, looks and colour - Galia blue.
What was the dealer like?
The sales guy was really spot on, to be honest the purchase was a rash one, I had not gone with intention of buying but the deal they were giving was too good to refuse.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Goes well, surprisingly quick. Cruises on motorways without issue and overtaking never a problem. Have not tested it to the limits for cornering but it feels pretty confident. Ride is a bit hard but not uncomfortable.
What's it like to park?
Easy with reversing sensors, plenty of glass so visiblity good. Steering light.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
DPF filter came on once which was a concern as the previous car had same issues. Luckily a blast up the motorway sorted that and i have had no problems since.
What's most practical about your car?
Downsizing from a laguna estate this is not the most practicle car but it takes 4 and a weekly shop. The golf clubs just about fit in the boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control, auto wipers, aux input for mp3 player, hands free phone kit.
