Summary
What does this car say about you?
It is top of the range and although a seat the cheapest out of the vag group people definetly know it isn't an average Leon. And know to stay back.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Some don't understand why you need the power but a true driver will know that every pony is valued.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Most certainly. The new mk3 Leon has not caught my are toon at all as I think they have lost touch with the design of the hidden rear doors. But this shape is now the 3rd I have owned and for the value of the kit and engine you get I would have this over an s3 anyday. I must say the mk6 golf R put up a good fight just price making it a clear choice.
What are you likely to buy next?
I would like to keep this Leon CUPRA R and get my self a porsche cayene gts.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£15,200
When did you buy the car?
January 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
Great trade in price for my Leon FR and took 1.3k of sale price for the Cupra r. Will always lose on a trade in but together I think it was worth it as it was super smooth.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
You get so much car for the money. Engine kit and leather. Hidden rear door handles are a bonus with it looking like a 3 door. Previously owned a 1.4tsi sport 2010 and then a 2.0tsi fr 2011 so I wanted the top of the range.
What was the dealer like?
Great. Have been servicing all my seats there and will continue to go there.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Amazing. The xds system seat use is not as good as a proper lsd but my gosh it is very helpful. If driven properly you can have almost no slip at all through the gears. And 0-60 is quick. I have had the short shift fitted and it is a great improvement with gear changes.
What's it like to park?
Front and rear sensor make it easy and effort less. But it does make you lazy as now driving other cars with no sensors you are lazy to focus as much.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Except for a squeak on the driver seat when you lean back at certain pressure or go over very bumpy roads it's fine. This is not a common fault and I will be getting the seat looked at soon.
What's most practical about your car?
The 5 doors even thou they look like 3 doors. The mfd is excellent and the infotainment system. The that bab does let it down sometimes as maps could be better.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The leather trim with gloss black rears. Just amazing to look at. Auto light are great aswell.
