The SEAT Cupra R is seen as a cheaper alternative to the performance hatchbacks from Volkswagen and Audi that uses the same engine. The Cupra R is significantly cheaper than the VW Golf R and Audi S3, though it shows in the interior. Materials are not as soft as those that are used in the Volkswagen, however the build quality is excellent.
As expected the Leon Cupra R perorms brilliantly on the smooth tarmac of a track, but move to bumpy roads and the stiff suspension can jar the occupants on potholed and undulating roads. The front sports seats wrap around to provide good support and comfort, while the steering wheel and seat adjustment means a comfortable driving position is achieveable for all shapes and sizes.
